[:it]In concomitanza con l’uscita del suo libro “La bellezza del Giappone segreto”, Alex Kerr ha tenuto una conferenza a Palazzo Reale a Milano. Noi di Japan Italy Bridge abbiamo avuto l’occasione di incontrarlo e porgli qualche domanda.

In questo episodio 8 della nostra serie Bringing Japan to Italy, Alex Kerr ci racconta del suo Giappone segreto. Figlio di una famiglia della marina americana, sin da giovane età gira il mondo fra Italia, Giappone, USA, per poi ritornare nella terra del Sol Levante. Dagli anni dell’università, Alex Kerr ha fatto di Kyoto la sua base di vita.

Qui ha scoperto un nuovo mondo, un Giappone che difficilmente noi occidentali riusciamo a vedere. Un paese fatto di tradizioni, piccoli villaggi, case col tetto di paglia e pavimenti in legno antico. Ci racconta di come la sua vita sia cambiata grazie alla vincita del premio letterario Scincho Gakugei. In seguito a ciò infatti Alex Kerr è entrato in contatto un gruppo di Litterati e artisti giapponesi con i quali collabora ancora oggi.
