[:it]Una nuova grandiosa iniziativa per trascorrere serate speciali e particolari, TENOHA CINEMA – AMERICANI & GIAPPONE. A partire dal 22 Settembre, TENOHA Milano vi propone una rassegna cinematografica per tutti i fan del Giappone.
Anche se il rapporto tra America e Giappone non è mai stato tra i più tranquilli, TENOHA Milano fa partire un’iniziativa che vede insieme le due realtà in un grandissimo evento sotto il nome del PATRIOTTISMO.
Lettere da Iwo Jima – Clint Eastwood (2007)

Lettere da Iwo Jima (Letters from Iwo Jima) è un film diretto da Clint Eastwood, che affronta il tema della battaglia di Iwo Jima durante la seconda guerra mondiale dal punto di vista dell’esercito giapponese. Il precedente film del regista, Flags of Our Fathers, considera la stessa battaglia dal punto di vista delle truppe americane. Il soggetto è tratto dal romanzo Picture Letters from Commander in Chief di Tadamichi Kuribayashi. Lettere da Iwo Jima e Flags of Our Fathers rappresentano l’omaggio che Eastwood ha voluto dedicare ai caduti di entrambi gli schieramenti. Dalla lotta rimangono le lettere che erano state spedite alle famiglie, piene delle emozioni e delle famiglie dei combattenti.

Nel 1861, un’epidemia sta distruggendo gli allevamenti di bachi da seta in tutto il paese. Per questo l’’allevatore Hervé Joncour decide di andare in Giappone alla ricerca di nuovi esemplari sani per il suo allevamento. Ma un incontro lo porta lontano non solo dalla sua realtà, ma anche dalla sua famiglia e soprattutto dalla moglie Hélène.

In Giappone, Algren scopre un mondo nella continua corsa della modernità tecnologica e commerciale contrastante con la cultura millenaria di un popolo dedito alla filosofia e alla guerra ideologica dei samurai.
