Japan Italy: Nendo shop @ TENOHA Milano

[:it]A Milano si sa, sta per cominciare una delle settimane più frenetiche dell’anno, è arrivato il Salone del Mobile. Il capoluogo lombardo si trasforma nella capitale europea del design dal 9 al 14 aprile e in questi giorni non è raro assistere a vari eventi dedicati al mondo dell’interior design ma anche dell’architettura.

Come ben sapete, Japan Italy Bridge si occupa di dare lustro a tutte quelle attività che spaziano fra Italia e Giappone e che si fanno promotori della cultura e delle connessioni fra i due paesi. Oggi siamo qui a presentarvi una meravigliosa iniziativa a TENOHA Milano.

Il concept store d’ispirazione giapponese, è infatti pronto ad accogliere in occasione del Fuorisalone 2019 un’esclusiva installazione a cura di Nendo, acclamato studio di Design Giapponese guidato dall’architetto Oki Sato. Ma non solo! Questa meravigliosa collaborazione verrà approfondita nello spazio &|SHOP, dove saranno disponibili più di 100 oggetti firmati Nendo.

Nello spazio &|SHOP sarà anche possibile poter vincere piccoli oggetti di design firmati nendo, tramite il famoso gioco giapponese Gacha gacha. I visitatori avranno la possibilità di vincere i piccoli sketch distribuiti da una macchina automatica in modo casuale. Pronti a collezionarli tutti?

Nendo e TENOHA si legano a doppio filo proprio nello spazio di &|SHOP, dove ogni giorno, a partire da oggi 8 aprile, verrà proposta una ricca selezione di oggetti creati dallo studio giapponese!

Fra T-shirt, borse tote, edizioni limitate, la particolarissima colla Gloo e molto altro, è possibile acquistare tanti oggetti dal design giapponese e di alta qualità, direttamente dal negozio di TENOHA Milano.

Breeze of Light

Si chiama “Breeze of Light” lo speciale progetto che Nendo, in partecipazione con Daikin, porterà a Tenoha durante la Milano Design Week.

L’installazione è ispirata ad uno dei quattro elementi naturali, l’aria, che con le sue caratteristiche di impercettibilità e invisibilità farà da leitmotiv per la fantastica opera di Nendo. Sfruttando le peculiarità di luci e colori, sarà possibile assistere ad un atmosfera suggestiva e concreta.

Nato a Toronto in Canada, Oki Sato ha studiato architettura alla Waseda Waseda University di Tokyo e stabilito la sua sede nella medesima città nel 2002. Il portfolio dello studio nendo spazia da lavori di product design, interior design, architettura, graphic design e corporate branding.

Per arrivare a Milano, Nendo deve aspettare il 2005, ma è proprio qui che comincia un ricco periodo di enorme sviluppo per l’azienda e il designer stesso. Percorso che lo porterà ad essere un professore alla Waseda University nel 2012, ad essere il più giovane designer a vincere il premio “designer of the year” da parte delle riviste “Wallpaper” ed “Elle Deco International Design Award”, ma non solo.

Nel 2013 è stato scelto come “ospite d’onore” alla fiera dell’arredamento internazionale di Stoccolma, la mostra di design più grande di tutto il nord europa, ma anche a Toronto durante lo “Interior Design Show”. Due anni dopo, nel 2015, ha avuto la possibilità di presentare “Colourful shadows” al padiglione del Giappone durante l’EXPO di Milano assieme a tanti altri successi che continuano sino ad oggi, fra cui l’aver vinto lo “Designer of the Year 2019” di AW Architektur & Wohnen magazine e lo “Industrial Designer” ai Design Anthology Awards 2019.


L’installazione sarà visitabile negli spazi di &|DISCOVER da mercoledì 10 a domenica 14 aprile 2019, dalle 9 alle 19, in via Vigevano 18 presso TENOHA Milano. Nello spazio &|SHOP di TENOHA Milano sarà invece possibile acquistare tutti i nuovissimi ed esclusivi oggetti di design firmati Nendo a partire dall’8 aprile 2019, dalle 8.30 alle 21. The Japanese-inspired concept store is, in fact, ready to welcome an exclusive installation by Nendo, a highly acclaimed Japanese Design studio led by architect Oki Sato, at the 2019 Fuorisalone. But not just this! This wonderful collaboration will be deepened in the &|SHOP area, where more than 100 objects designed by Nendo will be on sale.

In the & | SHOP space it will also be possible to win small designer objects with the famous Japanese game gacha gacha. Visitors will have the chance to win small sketches distributed by an automatic machine randomly. Ready to collect them all?

The installation is inspired by one of the four natural elements, the air, which with its characteristics of imperceptibility and invisibility will act as a leitmotif for Nendo’s fantastic work. Taking advantage of the peculiarities of lights and colors, it will be possible to witness a suggestive and concrete atmosphere.
